I am a huge Boston Celtics fan, and for a long time my strongest devotion of fan pride was Kedrick Perkins, world champion NBA center formerly of the Celts and currently of the Thunder. This terrifying look is exactly what made him (and his clumsy offense) an integral part of a championship team. On the court, he’s a monster. Off the court, he is a gentle giant by all accounts. Beantown fans always love the scrappy, tough-it-out guys who seem to care just as much about winning and playing the right way as the fans do. Perk is one of those guys.
